The Allusionist – Engraving part 2: Precious

An extremely lucky thing that happened to me recently is I got the chance to work with my friend Helen Zaltzman on an episode of her podcast, The Allusionist. I wanted to make something about engraved objects, and hear the stories behind people’s precious trinkets and treasures.

I went out and got a bunch of interviews, including people with stories about objects they own, an antique jeweller, and one of the last hand engravers in London. And then Helen and I recorded a conversation about an engraved ring that I own, and that story is included at the end of the episode.
